Church Groups

A variety of church groups meet regularly within the Parish. New members are always welcome at any of the groups. If you are interested in any of the groups detailed below, please complete the Contact Us page and your details will be forwarded to the relevant group leader. Alternatively, check the Calendar of Events for time and venue and simply turn up!

House Groups

There are a range of house groups which meet at various times in both Collingham and Harewood. House group aims are to provide an opportunity for Bible study and for fellowship. You do not need to be an expert in the Bible to join one of these groups, but simply be willing to learn more about it.

Prayer Group

This group meets on the first Saturday of each month at St Oswald's Church. The purpose of this group is to pray for needs within our own Parish, and also for regional, national and international issues (such as the plight of the people of Burma). If you have a specific prayer request, please submit details via the Contact Us page and your request will be included at the next Prayer Group.

Mothers' Union (MU)

The Collingham Branch meets on the first Thursday of the month at the Methodist Hall in Collingham. Meetings include worship and prayer and usually feature a guest speaker. The goal of the MU is to be specifically committed to strengthening and preserving family life and marriage, by our Christian faith and through practical action. It is worth noting that you do not have to be a mother or even a female to become a member of the MU!

Refresh

This inter-denominational group meets monthly and offers the opportunity to hear a speaker talk about their life and the impact that God has had on them. Speakers have included many 'ordinary people' as well as ordained ministers and lay preachers.
